Frequently Asked Questions

The Safety Data Sheet should be updated without delay if new information becomes available on the hazards or the need for more stringent risk-management measures.

The SDS must contain 16 sections as defined in Annex II of REACH.

Safety Data Sheets are inspected for compliance by enforcement authorities. Enforcement Project REF-11 found approximately 35% of Safety Data Sheet's to be non-compliant. Fines can be issued to suppliers if their SDS is not compliant.

You must provide an SDS when a substance or mixture meets the criteria for classification as hazardous under the CLP Regulation.

The cost of preparing a Safety Data Sheet depends on the complexity of the formulation and associated classifications. Please contact us for a quotation based upon your substance or mixture.
